SUBJECT-PURPOSE-LEARNING OUTCOMES

  1. The MSc program aims to enable postgraduate students to specialize in fields that require high scientific training as well as experience in cutting-edge technologies, such as audio and acoustics, moving image - video and optics, as well as digital transmission (broadcasting) of audio and visual signal. The convergence of media and related (nowadays entirely digital) technologies dictates the design of an MSc program that covers both audio and visual signal, as well as the devices for their production, acquisition, processing, compression, encoding, transmission and projection under a single framework. The MSc program is aimed at candidates who wish to gain advanced qualifications, strengthen their professional profile and strengthen their career prospects by conquering one of the most modern fields of science and technology.
  1. Upon completion of the MSC program students will be able to:
  • design electroacoustic systems, design and supervise electroacoustic installations and room acoustics improvement projects
  • evaluate electroacoustic and acoustic systems by performing specialized measurements
  • design and supervise the installation and maintenance of audio and video studios
  • design and supervise the installation and maintenance of DVB systems, IPTV transmission, reception and recoding systems for indoor audiovisual content distribution systems
  • carry out digital signal processing projects for audio, image and video signals
  • design the audiovisual content of immersion and interactive entertainment systems
  • develop their research interests and continue their studies in the third cycle of doctoral studies in the field of Audio, Video and Audiovisual Transmission with the specialized knowledge acquired
